Green Brothers Pharmacy was founded in 1930 by Thomas and Harry Green. The original store was located at 400 E. Market St. in Stockton and remained opened until 1975. Tom and Harry parted amicably as business partners after 10 years and Tom kept Green Brothers Pharmacy. Several stores were opened in the 50's and 60's, including a pediatric clinic pharmacy, an ob/gyn clinic pharmacy, a compounding pharmacy, and a medical center pharmacy. Tom's two sons, Tom Jr. and Charlie entered the profession in 1964 and 1968 respectively. Today, Tom practices medicine in Kansas City, MO. Charlie continues in the pharmacy practice as C.E.O. of the corporation.  During the 70's and 80's additional stores were opened in Sacramento, Redding, and San Andreas.  These were eventually sold and Charlie re-focused the business in Stockton with the addition of a home infusion company.

The current Green Brothers Pharmacy has been open since 1973.  Green Brothers has six pharmacist associates that have over 100 years of combined experience.  Charlie Green estimates that 8 million prescriptions have been filled in the various pharmacies since 1930. Green Brothers pharmacists are proud of their contributions throughout the years to the University of the Pacific School of Pharmacy, SJPhA (San Joaquin Pharmacists Association), CPhA (California Pharmacists Association), and APhA (American Pharmacists Association).
